Francisco is a PhD candidate that joined Dr. Canzar’s lab in 2023. He received his undergraduate degree in Biotechnology Engineering by the Ecuadorian Army’s Polytechnic School (ESPE) and holds an MS in Plant Pathology by Penn State University. During his graduate studies, Francisco has performed computational analyses of different systems, ranging from bacteria and viruses to plants, animals and human data and becoming acquainted with different pipelines to characterize each system.
Francisco aims to create integrative approaches to combine different ‘omics technologies, to ultimately automatize and simplify complex analyses and create better computational models for high throughput applications.
